First Italian restaurant in Shreveport is inspiration for award-winning gourmet food line, exec revisits hometown adding Shreveport and New Orleans to national gourmet market

Shreveport LA - Remember the Piccadilly Restaurant? Well, those favorite recipes are now packaged  in a line of specialty gourmet southern Italian foods called Thats A Nice!  The products are available  in 10 states and over 70 top gourmet retail stores nationwide, including Lewis' Gifts and Cush's Gourmet Market in Shreveport, the home town of company founder and president, Joseph LoBue.

Joseph grew up in Shreveport and attended Southwood High and later Louisiana Tech.  His family opened the first Italian restaurant in Shreveport, the legendary Piccadilly Pizza House.  The Piccadilly introduced pizza pie, the Muffaletta and other italian favorites to town in 1952.  The Piccadilly became the place to go, whether for a family celebration, time off from the Barksdale base, a romantic date or after a show.  Many couples were engaged at the restaurant.  After almost 40 years, the restaurant was retired.  During the last week, people lined up for hours to  get their last taste of history.  Many locals today, still remember having their best meals there.

Most of the family still live in Shreveport and its environs, but  Joseph LoBue,the youngest son of four children, headed out to Los Angeles after graduation, for a career in business, merchandising and marketing.  After 18 succesful years as a fashion buyer for major department stores and retail chains, Joseph decided to open his own business and get back to his food roots.  Using recipes first created at the Piccadilly he created a gourmet food line called Thats A Nice! Joseph joined forces with Anthony Marciona, a business entrepreneur. Together, the team developed various products, a design concept and creative Brand ideas, as well as internet marketing, creating the website as a tool between internet commerce and retail shopping.  The company quickly garnered numerous awards.  With rapid growth in gourmet markets from Beverly Hills to New York City, Thats A Nice! is a Gourmet Brand on the rise.  It is a personal accomplishment for Joseph to have his company's  presence in his own hometown.

Known for its gourmet flavor, creative packaging, online recipes, and retail links, Thats A Nice! helps consumers become instant chefs and cook the southern italian way. Customers are able to go online and see recipes and other suggestions for products, as well as find retail stores where products may be purchased. Products are all-natural, made from fresh ingredients and mixed with the best spices to create the famous Thats A NIce! flavor. OLIVETTA sicilian olive mix, is the company's leading product, used to make the Muffaletta sandwich and perfect for salads and appetizers.  The newest product BACIO, a Sicilian "kiss of garlic" spread, is excellent for grilling seafood, meats and vegetables and to make garlic bread that is "to die for"!  Other products include: the award-winning SUGO sicilian marinara sauce, SUGO BOOM spicy sicilian pasta sauce,  SUGO VEGGIE sautéd mushroom-asparagus pasta sauce and PRIMI PIATTI first course in premium gourmet pasta.
